Белые колготки секретарши, промокнутые в кулисах, пошло не так

It absolutely pissed it down over lunchtime and now the river has burst its banks. My favourite jumper is stranded on the other side and I need to get it back. The problem is, I am dressed in office wear with white tights and heels and I have a very important meeting to get to. My first attempt is in wellies but it is already far too deep. So, out come the waders. But as I wade in, I start to feel a little bit of cold water inside. Oh no. I lose my mind completely as the water seeps in and I realise these have holes in them. They are slowly filling up. I am soaking wet. As I unpeel the waders you can clearly see the wet patches on my white tights, my socks are completely soggy.
